Patti Gelman Culinary Arts Center

The Patti Gelman Culinary Arts Center is the only fully equipped kosher kitchen to offer both dairy and meat cooking classes in Manhattan. The culinary studio remains bustling throughout the week with instructive cooking classes held daily for adults, teenagers, and children. Our intimate, hands-on classes are an ideal place for beginners as well as experienced cooks to improve their cooking skills.

Equipped with four convection wall ovens, a convection range, and 12 gas cooktops, our state-of-the-art culinary studio is strictly kosher. We maintain separate supplies, equipment, sinks, and refrigerators, and purchase only certified kosher ingredients. Please contact Rabbi Yael Rapport with any questions regarding kashrut.

Since we opened in January 2002, we have hosted many wonderful guest chefs, including internationally recognized French chef, television personality, and author Jacques Pepin; Food Network’s Claire Robinson; cookbook author, food critic, and radio personality Arthur Schwartz; and award-winning American cookbook author and newspaper journalist Joan Nathan, to name just a few.
