Virtual. Many factors can weaken pelvic floor muscles, including pregnancy, childbirth, surgery, aging, and being overweight. If these muscles weaken, you may lose bladder control when you sneeze, cough, exercise, or experience lower back, pelvic, or hip pain. Join us for an intimate conversation on a private matter in a safe, encouraging environment. In Section 1, learn basic dos and don’ts for preventing or addressing incontinence, and focus on breathing exercises that are imperative to know before starting pelvic floor-specific exercises. In Section 2, learn exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor, including variations of Kegels and reverse Kegels, as well as other complementary exercises. Wear loose-fitting clothing and bring a towel or mat. Women only.
